Keep Calm and Pray On - Thy Will be Done!

As we desire to live according to God's will we must remember He is in control. He is in control of our health, our relationships, our future, our finances, and our day-to-day activity. He is in control of everything! It never ceases to amaze me how we are not only called, but reminded daily through our circumstances to pray. I know beyond a shadow of doubt, the trials in our life are designed to keep us humble and keep things in perspective. Without the pressures of the world we may become complacent and may not seek Him as earnestly.

We must keep calm and pray on, but there is something we must always remember when we pray. It is important to seek His presence before seeking His hand. We find comfort in His presence. We find contentment in His presence. We are able to more freely live and learn to understand His will while in His presence. In His presence we see His hand at work in our life. We learn to trust Him with our whole life and we learn the lessons He has for us to learn. In His presence we will find a peace that passes all of our understanding. We will see His will for us unfold before our eyes. Then as we begin to experience the greatness He has planned for our lives, we will know it was because of His presence in our life that we are able to see His unfailing hand at work in our life. Allow him to BE in your life and then you will see Him WORK in your life.

If you feel you have great trials and pressures, know that he has great opportunities and responsibilities in store for you. Just rely on Him to write the script of your life. He will equip our days to glorify Him and He will see us through every circumstance. He equips those he has called. I have always told my children, “He saw this day too,” yet I, myself, just have to be reminded of it from time to time. Ultimately, God is in control!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
